Brian R. Humphrey, Psy.D., MSCP
Dr. Brian R. Humphrey's training as a Clinical Psychologist has offered diverse opportunities to service men, women, and children throughout the Chicago-land area. A graduate with honors from the University of Illinois, Dr. Humphrey where he earned a Bachelors Degree in Psychology with a concentration in premedicine. Dr. Humphrey earned a Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology and a Doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Group Psychotherapy and Hypnosis from Adler University. Dr. Humphrey graduated Summa Cum Laude and earned a Master's of Science in Clinical Psychopharmacology from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology where he is able to prescribe select psychotropics to select demographics in the various communities where he serves. While the majority of his clinical training and employment has been in a primary care setting, Dr. Humphrey is a skilled clinician with experience in Forensics, Community Health, Private Practice, and Educational settings.
Dr. Humphrey is an Assistant Professor at Adler University and previously at the Chicago School of Professional Psychology teaching both ground and online courses in the Masters of Psychology (MAP) and Clinical Psychology (Psy.D) departments. In addition to teaching, he is an active member of several other professional programs and organizations including the American Psychological Association and the Illinois Psychological Association. As an agent of social justice, he actively challenges systems that maintain discrimination, lobbies for resources to improve adverse conditions in various communities, and advocates for equal access to physical and mental healthcare to name but a few. As a Behavioral Health practitioner, Dr. Humphrey works with various culturally diverse populations, which includes: Children, Families, Adolescents, Adults, older Adults, and Marital and Family systems. Dr. Humphrey has a passion and research interest in issues/ dynamics related to Men's Health and Wellness. |
